Final decisions remain with the relevant university, employer, professional body, or public authority.
As Ireland participates in the wider European qualifications-recognition environment, graduates may also use the relevant recognition authorities and procedures in the European country where they intend to work or continue their studies. Recognition should therefore be understood as a country-specific and purpose-specific process rather than an automatic approval throughout the European Union.
